RAMONA was created with a rebellious spirit and an ambitious objective - to offer high-quality wine, often blended with fruit, in fun little packages. The team at Ramona celebrates organic growing practices and a belief that drinking wine can be spontaneous and portable, it need not be relegated to the dinner table.
Ramona is a modern wine cooler made with organic grapes and natural fruit flavors. It comes in a 250ml recyclable aluminum slim can, because they believe that great wine comes in sassy little packages. The project is named after Jordan Salcito's youngest sister, who became obsessed with the fictional literary character Ramona Quimby when she was younger and renamed herself Ramona, refusing to answer to any other name. As 'Ramona,' Anne-Marie developed a mischievous, fun-loving alter-ego. That independent spirit informs the spirit of Ramona.
JORDAN KNOWS WINE
Jordan Salcito is an award-winning sommelier turned entrepreneur, having overseen the beverage programs for David Chang’s Momofuku restaurants. Prior to that, she worked as a sommelier at Eleven Madison Park and passed the Master Sommelier “Blind Tasting” exam on her first try.
Jordan has worked at some of the world’s best wineries and has been recognized by the James Beard Foundation, TODAY Show, New York Times and WSJ to name a few.
With RAMONA, Jordan filled a void for a better tasting, better- for-you, portable, organic beverage that met her value system.
