The Nero D’Avola (known also as Calabrese) is the most representative red wine grape varietal in Sicily. Ruby-Red wine, vinificated and aged exclusively in stainless steel in order to maintain unaltered the characteristics of this grape. On the nose is particularly fruity with scents of sour cherry, prunes and blackberries with more complex aroma of black pepper, black olives and ink.
Soft and round on the palate, smooth and enveloping, full-bodied but characterized by a crispy end due to the semi-evolved tannins. It’s perfect with red meat, elaborated sauces and strong cheeses.

“NERO D’AVOLA” DOC SICILIA “Un vitigno antico per un vino moderno” Il Nero d'Avola (noto anche come Calabrese) è il vitigno rosso più rappresentativo in Sicilia. Vino dal colore rosso intenso, vinificato ed affinato esclusivamente in acciaio per mantenere inalterate le caratteristiche del vitigno. Al naso è particolarmente fruttato con note di ciliegia sotto spirito, prugne e more contornate da sentori di spezie, olive nere e inchiostro. Al palato è morbido e avvolgente. Ben si sposa con i sapori tipici della cucina mediterranea, timballi e piatti dal sapore speziato e deciso. Nero d’Avola 100% Zona di produzione: Riesi (CL) - Mazara (TP) La vendemmia avviene nella seconda decade di settembre. L’affinamento avviene esclusivamente in vasche di acciaio inox per un periodo di circa sei mesi. It’s perfect with traditional Mediterranean dishes, Timballi and dishes with spicy flavour. The agingt takes place exclusively in stainless steel tanks for a period of six mounths. Alcohol content: 14% vol. To be tasted at 16/18° C
