The May Regional Dog Is Here!
The Hot Dog: NYC Dirty Water Dog
The Region:New York City, New York
The Story: Step onto the bustling streets of New York City and let the scent of sizzling street food pull you in. It’s the 1870s on the Bowery—gritty, loud, and full of hustle. German immigrants are slinging sausages from wooden carts, feeding hungry New Yorkers on the go. But here’s the rub: open flames and wooden carts? Not exactly fire-code compliant. So after a few too many “hot dog infernos,” a new method was born—boiling the dogs in big, insulated containers of hot, seasoned water. Safe, smart, and straight-up delicious. And just like that, the Dirty Water Dog became a street food legend.
The story behind "STORY"
Over the years, we have made it a priority to be involved in supporting cancer initiatives. Cancer has affected all of us in one way or another, and during May, we take a moment to remember those we have lost, those who continue to fight, and those who have won their battle.
May 2nd (5-2 Day) is our day of remembrance, and to honor the memories of our friends and family members, we have collaborated with Noon Whistle on "Story."
We are proud and honored to be collaborating with Noon Whistle on this yearly release since 2019, when it was first called "Story Of My Life." As with that collaboration, we are committed to donating $1 from every pint of "Story" enjoyed in our Taproom to Outrun The Sun, a non-profit organization whose quest is to find a cure for melanoma.
With your help, we have donated over $7,000 in six years. Thank you for supporting "Story" and for sharing your stories along the way.
