Description
In 1975 a young Winemaker named Bruno Zanatta moved from Treviso to Sardinia spending the next 30 years honing his winemaking skills at various wineries. Bruno spent years searching for the perfect vineyard site and finally in 2005 the Zanatta family purchased two large plots of land in the Gallura area of Sardinia (Northeast corner of the island). Located less than 2 km from the sea this land was selected to take advantage of the steady winds on Sardinia. In fact, when it does rain, the vines dry within minutes. This also means that pests and disease are almost never an issue. Over 50 ha are planted to Vermentino and Cannonau on soils typical for the Gallura region, sand over granite bedrock. Bruno’s dream came full circle when a new modern winery was built in 2008.
