Description
A beautifully expressive Pinot Noir from Austria’s Tattendorf region, this wine showcases elegance, balance, and Old World charm. In the glass, it presents a brilliant ruby hue with inviting aromas of red cherry, wild strawberry, and cranberry, accented by subtle notes of violet, forest floor, and a hint of warm spice.
On the palate, it’s dry, medium-bodied, and finely textured, offering bright acidity and silky tannins that highlight its precision and freshness. Flavors of ripe red berries, clove, and a touch of earthiness lead to a refined, lingering finish that reflects the cool-climate terroir.
This Pinot Noir pairs beautifully with roasted poultry, mushroom dishes, charcuterie, or soft-ripened cheeses. A graceful, food-friendly red that speaks to both craftsmanship and place.
We, Johanna, Franz & Stefan...
and Havas, our greyhound, are at home in the heart of Austria, in Tattendorf / Thermenregion / Lower Austria, 25 km south vienna. We have been working purely biologically for over 21 years. On our 24 hectares of vineyards around Tattendorf, Baden, Pfaffstätten and Gumpoldskirchen is the teamwork of two generations, a lot of commitment and passion are paramount.
In harmony with nature, we focus on the essentials: bringing the highest possible quality to bottle maturity.
Our climate shapes the wine style as well as our barren gravelly soils. Low yields bring fully ripened grapes, which are a guarantee for the best wines. This line of quality continues into the barrel and then into the bottle. Our finesse, expressive and easy-to-drink red wines as well as our fruity, fresh white wines are proof of this.
Our great passion...
belongs our down-to-earth and typical regional varieties: Pinot Noir and St. Laurent but also Zweigelt, these are each developed by us in three quality lines:
Klassik / regional wine (light & fruity - matured in large oak barrels or steel tanks)
Selektion / village wine (full-bodied - matured in small oak barrels)
Best of / single vineyard (- our top line - elegant, finely structured & rich in finesse - matured in small oak barrels).
White & typical for our region: Gemischter Satz, Weissburgunder (Pinot Blanc) & Rotgipfler. But also Gr.Veltliner and Muskateller are among our most important white wine varieties.
Extremely exciting: TRAMINER wild - spontaneously fermented on the mash, turns it into an "orange" and an interesting pleasure experience is Stefans Funky PET NAT!
In addition, we've got our special Black Betty line - in red, pink or white.
All of our wines are certified organic as well as vegan.
