And yes, it acts like a moody little princess showing a different face every year, but we like it as it is. If we treat it with respect, we’ll get excellent wine even in years with bad weather conditions. The key to beautiful Pinot Noir is not overthinking the preparation. Just do it traditionally and naturally! That’s the best.

Nová Vieska is rich in natural treasures, for example the Paris marshland with its wildlife, mostly the special avifauna, or the remarkable reservoir of protected plants and flowers.
The Somlyó-hill, where we have our vineyards, is one of the three nature reserves in Nová Vieska. In Central Europe, it has an exceptionally dry and warm climate, thus it gives place to valuable and rare xerotherm plants and animals. The 9-hectare land has been a nature reserve since 1964. A few of the typical plants are Amygdalus nana, Stipa borysthenica and Iris aphylla subsp. hungarica.
