September Regional Burger!

Available every Day in September
(starting September 4th)

Burger: Paulaner Oktoberfest Burger
Origin: Munich, Germany

And just like that, our 3rd year of our Regional Fun has come to an end! Thank you to all who participated in our Regional Hot Dog program! It was a blast as together we explored iconic dogs such as the Ripper from Rutt’s Hutt, the Sonoran Dog from Arizona, and devoured classic remakes such as the Bitter Pops x Hop Butcher Chicago Francheezie!

As we head into year 4, we are in full collaboration mode! For this year’s program, Bitter Pops will be working with some of the finest breweries in the world to bring you monthly burgers inspired by the breweries themselves! Not only will we be sharing the story of the deliciousness that we will bring you each month, but we will be delving deep into the story of the selected brewery and their beers that have made them so iconic! So, let’s get this party (errrr Fest!) started! First Up, Paulaner Brauerei straight outta Munich, Germany!

Brewery: Paulaner Brauerei
Origin: Munich, Germany
Beer: Oktoberfest Bier, Oktoberfest Märzen, Münchner Lager & Münchner Pils
Burger: Paulaner Oktoberfest Burger

Paulaner Brauerei
: Paulaner Brewery was founded by Monks of the Order of Minims, known in Germany as the Paulaner Order. The Monks brew their beer according to the Purity Law issued by Duke Wilhelm IV in 1516, which states that only barley or barley malt, hops, and pure water may be used for the production of beer. German brewers voluntarily observe this law to this day. The extra beer that they do not need for themselves is passed on to those in need or sold in the monastery taverns. As the popularity of the monks’ beer grew, in 1634, Munich’s private breweries officially complained to the town council about the competition from the monastery. This letter is regarded as Paulaner’s “first official document”.

Paulaner Beer: Paulaner is one of six breweries that serve beer during the Official Munich Oktoberfest beer festival. Other breweries include Augustiner, Hacker-Pschorr, Hofbräu, Löwenbräu, and Spaten. And we’re excited to have an assortment of beers from both Paulaner & Hacker-Pschorr available in .5L pours throughout all of September for $8!

Paulaner Oktoberfest Burger: Inspired by the Brewery that helped put the Oktoberfest Festival on the map, the Paulaner Oktoberfest Burger features two smash patties of beef, pork, parsley, & Onions. Two slices of Smoked Gruyere Alpine Cheese are then melted to perfection and dressed with a swipe of Düsseldorf Mustard. All this goodness is then placed on a toasted, pillowy, buttery pretzel bun and served with house-made pickles and sauerkraut on the side!

So dust off your lederhosen and your alpine hat. It’s time to hoist your stein for a month-long Oktoberfest celebration at Bitter Pops!

Prost!
