COFFEE BAR MANAGER
Forrest joined the Bitter Pops crew in the summer of 2021, initially working on the Retail side of the Shoppe. He jumped over to the BP Coffee Bar after tasting our Hirundo, house drip blend, and fell in love with it. Hailing from the "farm to table" foodie hub of Burlington Vermont, where he worked with Brio Coffeeworks and Zero Gravity Brewery. Forrest brings passion and curiosity to the Bitter Pops Coffee Bar experience. Now inspired by his new Chicago home and our city's diverse coffee, beer, and food scenes, Forrest aims to always be experimenting, learning and progressing within his craft.
Our Coffee Bar Story
In 2018, we expanded our craft offerings by entering the world of coffee. We began cultivating relationships with local roasters and selling their coffees in our Shoppe. These relationships flourished and led to us offering cold brew and nitro cold brew coffee on tap. In 2020 we started making plans for our new location. Having a great local coffee program to serve our community was an essential piece of what we were trying to create. With the support of Hexe Coffee Roasters, we were able to open in February of 2021 with a fully operational Coffee Bar and three exclusive coffee roasts; Passerine (espresso), Hirundo (drip), and Saw Wing (single origin).
