Story: This fresh take on an Argentine classic, a light, dry White Organic Malbec is the first in the USA. Fair Trade, Single Vineyard. Early harvest for higher acidity, pressed immediately for no skin contact. Stainless steel. Results in a racy, bright white with citrus and tree fruit aromas and flavors.

Argentina's most important wine region, Mendoza is located in the eastern foothills of the Andes Mts. Bright sunshine, moderate rainfall, alluvial soils and vineyards that are planted at some of the highest altitudes in the world are key attributes of Mendoza and it's vibrant wines.

Bodega Argento is fast becoming Argentina's most innovative winemaker. It's the largest organic grower and wine producer and offers a collection of awarded, naturally balanced, vibrant wines crafted from some of the finest organic vineyards in Mendoza and Uco Valley. All wines are certified sustainable and many are certified Fair Trade.

Overview: Originally created as JV wine project for the UK market in 1998, Argento has not only changed hands in the past twenty years, but has evolved and blossomed to the organic vineyards, proud brand and stunning winery we know today. In 2009, Alejandro Bulgheroni purchased the brand name and in 2012 purchased a local winery. Together with consulting enologist, Alberto Antonini, and award-winning winemaker, Silvia Corti, the birth of today’s Argento began in earnest. Today Argento’s organic journey continues with winemaker Juan Pablo Murgia and is now Argentina’s largest organic wine producer. Murgia received the Young Winemaker Award in 2021 from Tim Atkin.

Vineyards: Argento has over 425 vineyard hectares centered around Mendoza’s prized west and east subregions as well as the higher-elevation, cool-climate Valle de Uco. Five estate vineyards: Agrelo, Altimira, Ugarteche, Pedemonte and Cruz de Piedra each lie between 2,490 and 3,500 feet above sea level. These high-altitude vineyards rest on beds of large rocks to sandy clays and silts to allow for excellent drainage with bright sunlight fueling flavor development.

Winemaking: The resulting wines are synonymous with tremendous value and holistic care, from vine to table. Generous aromas and vibrant flavors are hallmarks of the Classic Range, where the Reserve Range offers a selective collection focused on silky texture and rich flavors.
