“ECHOLANDS WINERY USES ONLY WALLA WALLA VALLEY FRUIT TO CRAFT WINES OF BALANCE AND ELEGANCE.”
Our commitment to Walla Walla Valley is steadfast; our block of Les Collines Vineyard is here supplemented by fruit from the stonier areas of the Walla Walla Valley. Our preference for only light amounts of new oak had to accommodate the richer Syrah style that the "stones" produces, but we stayed true to our use of only 500L French puncheons.
98% Syrah, 2% Viognier
“IN TRUTH, ALL WINE IS AN ECHO OF THE LANDSCAPE, OF THE VINES PLANTED THERE AND THE SOUND THAT THEY MAKE IN THE FORM OF THEIR FRUITS.”
Echolands Winery was created in 2018 by Brad Bergman and Doug Frost, two Kansas City residents who believed in the Walla Walla Valley AVA’s ability to offer a distinct style of wine, one that would benefit from aging. In 2023, Echolands was proud to announce Brian Rudin as head winemaker. The group crafts responsibly produced wines that reflect the potential for elegant and balanced wines from this singular place. As the team cares for its young vineyards, they seek to amplify that echo from the land and the grapevines in every bottle made. The philosophy is that winemaking can’t be anything more than a subtle (at best) shaping of that sound; we cannot create qualities that are not there in the grapes.
LIKE THE CREATURE OF MYTHOLOGY KNOWN AS ECHO, WE CAN ONLY EXPRESS WHAT IS GIVEN TO US.
“OUR GOAL SHOULD BE TO CREATE A HEALTHY PLACE AND EVERYTHING WILL BENEFIT, NOT JUST OUR VINES.”
– BRAD BERGMAN, CHAIRMAN AND LONG SUPPORTER OF THE NATURE CONSERVANCY.
A portion of our profits go to benefit the work to protect our environment.
