Description
Fine cava produced by traditional bottle fermentation. Without any dosage, with a slightly ripe note of light fruit, some yeast in the background. Beautifully soft on the palate and yet classy.
To talk about Bodegas Enguera is to talk about its wines, its terroirs, its vineyards and its landscapes but above all it is talking about its people. The story of Bodegas Enguera is the story of a dreamer. It is the story of someone who changed his star, someone who left a great legacy but who always maintained the essence of his roots, is the story of Mr. Pedro Pérez Pardo.
D. Pedro was born on June 15, 1921 in Cortes de Pallás, a small mountain town of less than 1,000 inhabitants in the interior of the province of Valencia. A humble and peasant family always had a special bond with agriculture and the rural world. He suffered the consequences of the tough postwar period that the country would go through in later years. No doubt an event that would mark his life for eternity.
He never got to study a university career but always had great concerns and cultivated the most valuable qualities: the ability to deal with people. D. Pedro carried out a multitude of businesses, with butane distribution being one of his greatest successes. In 1960 he managed the distribution of butane throughout the Mediterranean region. Despite this and other business successes, his biggest dream had always been to create a winery that made great wines from his own vineyards.
