Description
Vineyard Notes: Fruit is harvested by hand from biodynamically farmed vineyards planted between 2005 and 2008.
Winemaking Notes: After harvest, skin maceration is halted after 6-18 hours and the grapes are gently pressed. La Collina uses frozen grape must to help kickstart the fermentation naturally in stainless steel tanks.
Tasting Notes: Aromatics include orange blossom, lemon zest and a hint of buttery brioche. This wine is lively and fresh with a hint of honey and lemon on the dry, fruity finish. Crisp and easy drinking, the 'Lunaris' Secco is the perfect accompaniment to cheese boards and charcuterie platters!
La Collina is a whole-agriculture co-op, cultivating fruits and vegetables, grain (for pasta and beer), livestock, bees, dairy (for Parmagiano-Reggiano), and, of course, wine. Founded in 1975 by a group of 12 young farmers, the co-op has flourished through its organic and biodynamic (certified in 1985) practices and its focus on the ecosystem and surrounding environment.
